Just like Zebras, horses were wild animals in the beginning. They were hunted for their skin as well as meat. Around 3000 B.C. things changed and people began taming horses and using them to carry things. Around 1900 B.C. horses first appeared in Greece, which most probably came with the arrival of the Indo-Europeans. The invasion of the Hyksos or Amorites brought with them horses and chariots to Egypt. This was around 1700B.B.C. Here is facts about horse

9. Horses spend more energy lying down. They are able to doze and enter light sleep while standing, an adaptation from life as a prey animal in the wild. Lying down makes an animal more vulnerable to predators. Horses are able to sleep standing up because a “stay apparatus” in their legs allows them to relax their muscles and doze without collapsing.

10. The other facts about horse that the hoof of a horse is like a fingernail, it keeps on growing and needs to be clipped. It is always growing and needs to be clipped so that it won’t be uncomfortable for the horse.
